The South West Herts Narrowboat Project exists to provide a narrowboat facility for use by all community and youth groups.

Dick's Folly is the name of our 12 berth narrowboat, and it is moored at our base in Old Mill Road, Hunton Bridge, Kings Langley, Herts WD4 8QT. Beside the jetty, the River Gade joins the Grand Union Canal at lock 73. The boat was completely refitted during the winter of 2010/11 as well as some major engineering work and is now available for individuals and community groups to hire, and can be used for any period from an evening, half a day to a two week cruise. Go to our Users page for more information.

The Project is formulating plans for a new boat, which will accommodate a wheelchair user. We are hoping the boat will be in service during the 2012 season. Keep watching our website for progress reports.

Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the Project. If you would like a new hobby, why not join us. New user groups are also welcome [use the links below for more information].
